about

Featuring Zillah Minx on vocals and Sid on 'E' providing the sounds generated by a Yamaha SY77 digital workstation bought in the summer of '89 while Acid house was being aired on the plethora of pirate stations that had figured out that before the DTI clamped down on unlicensed broadcasts that you could just find the space on the medium wave of your radio in mono and eventually as it got bigger on the stereo wave bandwidth later known as FM.
Samples recorded on a tape recorder off the TV and played in by hand and not programmed in but recorded on a 4 track Tascam 244 in mono usually along with Zillahs vocals that were created by here on a freestyle session where no music was accompanying her just Zillah singing all her ideas into channel 1 of the 4 track and the music and samples on a tape recorder played in later to make a song.
Written in our spare room in Balfron Tower were so many friends and fans witnessed me doing something that wasn't punk at all but still sounded cool because it was a new genre of music and the beginning of the dance scene that now generates millions around the world and played on most mainstream stations and in every club around the planet.

We later went on to record Rush in the House that went straight into the National Dance charts at no 20 on Kickin Records and later to become part of Spiral Tribe Known for their free parties/raves and release on Big Life records with Xenophobia being asked to give a track to complete the 4 track 12" called originally DO IT referring to DMT that gives you an extreme rush and trip out for 20 minutes to return the tripper to reality totally recovered. It was renamed by the record company 'Doet' for the record much to my annoyance.
