I had great fun writing this one at home on my Yamaha SY77 for sequencer and an Ensoniq EPS 16+ sampler with a measly 2 meg of memory so sampling at full band width would give you about 36 seconds of sampling time to store all the samples you've nicked from your record collection he he.
So I used to dropped the sampling time. Transition is one of my favorite tracks, was the A-side of a release by Pigeon Pie in about 1994 and the band was called Logue and comprised of Jon Wilkinson and Conan Manchester. We released a couple of 12"'s the first was called 'Dig This' a track that was a joint effort and 'Transition' was a track I had ready to release that I had written previously and went on to sell over 7,000 units. We all went our separate ways after these 2 releases, Conan went to work with Todd Terry, Jon continued working with Alabama 3 & the Soprano's theme & I carried on writing music for Rubella Ballet & Xenophobia and eventually ended up playing drums for X-Ray Spex at Poly Styrene's come back gig at the Roundhouse in London in 2008
